BlackFoot Studios' premieretitel; Ground Branch er baseret på den virkelige underafdeling af Special Activities Division i Central Intelligence Agency. Special Activities Division udfører typisk fornægtelige hemmelige operationer på fremmed jord og går ofte ind i en situation før nogen anden, før Special Forces, før SEALs, før DevGru; SAD Ground Branch er den sande spydspids. SAD Ground Branch-operativer rekrutteres hovedsageligt fra Army Special Forces eller CAG-enheder.
